his was my first attempt at designing and writing a web site. I [was] volunteered to write this site early November '03 and until then, less than four weeks prior to the publication of the first version, I had never seen HTML or JavaScript. Since then I have learn quite a bit and have reengineered this site. Though I have greatly improved my skills - should you have any problem with something on this site [broken link, unreadable due to imcompatible formating, etc.] please let me know.
This is the nice thing about writing your own about page; you get to put in commentaries.
I moved to the Las Vegas area in August '03. I had no family in the state nor did I know anyone at all in the Las Vegas Valley. When I came upon this church I didn't know what to expect. Well, to my surprise, I discovered not everyone in the valley is a part of Sin City you see portrayed on TV and in movies. These people welcomed me with open arms. When life kicks you in the shin, as it does to everyone, the members of Grace Valley are there to help you through it. Basically, I now have a family here in Las Vegas.

First I want to mention the "stained glass window" I use as a watermark on the devotions page. Debbie, one of our church members, designed this window - unfortunately I do not have the names of the people who helped assemble this work of art. I mention this window because several nights while working on this web site, I would be so frustrated writing code that I would have to step away from the computer. As I would walk into the main room, I would see this window. Not only would this window remind me of my place in this world but also why I am even here to write this. Unfortunatly, this window was lost when we moved from the Pecos property but it still lives in my heart [and in photos].

Frankie is responsible for the content of the devotion pages and the welcome page. I just wish I knew in advance how much code and HTML it would take to present all this content. (Just kidding Frankie, it was worth every bit of the work).
